What began as a community based windfarm in the early 2000's expanded into the Walcha Energy Project. 4GW of generation consisting of Wind, Solar, Pumped Hydro and a Hub.

Walcha Energy, an accumulator with no assets or experience began selling lofty ideas. Many of these project are now abandoned due to poor design, poor location, lack of community and landholder support. This is what remains in our region.

As of May 2024, we are aware that Mint Renewables are prospecting in the Topdale/Flags area for a wind project.

Once again, we encourage neighbours to talk to each other to maintain their community.

The developer MO, is to talk to possible landholders, one at a time, to single out support, and to keep others in the dark.
They will indicate that it is happening all around you, and that you may as well join in.

We urge you to STOP! And talk to your neighbours.

The below projects have been removed from the portal. At this stage, there is no further interest being shown by landholders or developers.
